1. Rapid battery drain
Your laptop used to last 4–6 hours. Now it dies in under 90 minutes — even with light use like browsing and email. This is the most common sign of battery degradation. Lithium-ion batteries lose capacity with every charge cycle; after 300–500 full cycles, most batteries hold less than 80% of their original capacity.
2. Battery percentage jumps or is inaccurate
One minute it says 40%, the next it's 5%, then back to 25% after a reboot. This erratic behaviour means the battery's internal controller is failing — it can no longer report its true charge level.
3. Laptop won't charge at all

4. Overheating during charging
